Welcome to St. Margaret's
We are a God centred, prayer filled community,
encouraging one another in Christian love and service.
|
St. Margaret of Scotland has a long history in the North Burnaby area, with the first small church
built in the same location more than 80 years ago. In the 1950s the original building was raised
to allow for additional space, and in the 1960s a new building was built to accommodate a larger
church.
Our address is 1030 Sperling Avenue, Burnaby, B.C. V5B 4H9 (on the corner of Sperling Avenue & Napier Street).
|
The congregation is a diverse group of individuals who warmly welcome visitors and newcomers.
The Sunday service, at 9 a.m., is a sung Eucharist (Holy Communion), with a generous portion of hymns
and praise songs.
The service is easy to follow with the priest leading the congregation through the
Book of Alternative Services. Church school for children aged 3 and older is available during
the service.
We share our priest, Rev. Paul Bowie, with St. Stephen's, Burnaby.
Paul's time is divided equally between the parishes.
